Avocados, strawberries, pumpkins, & peaches; these are a few of my favorite foods... which actually will quickly disappear as the bee continues to disappear! Honeybees perform about 80% of all pollination worldwide & in the past decade, many pollinators are disappearing at alarming rates, especially bees! The cause & solution for this huge problem is not a simple or easy one, but many great organizations are performing research & educating people on what they can do to help everyday. I am passionate about this cause and wanted to create a piece of art that spoke to this issue. From every print sold, 25% of the money will be donated to the Center for Honeybee Research in Asheville NC, whom well-roundedly offer education programs for the general public/beekeepers & conduct research on how to better save this ever so important creature.
